You are old enough to use the sites, but keep your expectations realistic. The guys in your age range will not be looking for love or anything that serious. Focus on finding guys you are compatible with and building a friendship. If it becomes more, great, if not then at least you have expanded your social circle.

nobody is preventing anyone from starting a dating group for other religions, I’m sure they are out there, they just don’t advertise. There are even dating groups for the homosexual, the disabled, there is one just for Catholics. But that is not the point, it is only against the constitution if someone tries to stop someone from forming one, it does not mean they are guaranteed a group, just because someone else has one.

The commercial wasn’t paid for with tax dollars therefore it has nothing to do with the constitution. If any other dating service wants to do a commercial they’d have to pay for it themselves too. They just haven’t done it…or they have and you just haven’t seen it.

The reason they have a Christian dating commercial but not one for other religions is because a Christian organization bothered to make a dating service, but other religions did not.

And no, that is not unconstitutional. It would be if Congress made a law that said only a Christian organization could have a dating service. As it is, it is like it because of market demand and people taking initiative, which is both constitutional and American.

Probably because Christianity is by far the most popular religion in the US, which means the exposure of airing commercials for dating services for other religions isn’t great enough to justify the costs of producing and airing commercials. That is, since there are so many Christians in the US, enough may be motivated to check out this dating service and create a profit for the company, while other religion-based dating services likely rely on less expensive, more focused advertising to drum up enough new customers to make advertising profitable.

The Constitution protects us against the GOVERNMENT favoring any religion. If a company targets a particular group, that is not against the establishment clause of the first amendment.

If there are other religions’ dating services who wish to advertise but are denied by the network or the TV station, that again would not be the GOVERNMENT favoring a religion and, therefore, not a constitutional issue.

The Constitution protects our liberties regarding religion. It does not require religious groups to advertise.
